years.
This covers the functionality and performance of ProPERLA products in reducing water
absorption for the duration of the guarantee.
Only our approved installers, that have attended our rigorous training program, can issue an
official ProPERLA manufacturer's guarantee.
This ensures that the products are applied in accordance with the manufacturer's data sheet and
to the highest of standards.
The guarantee must be signed and stamped by the distributor - ProPERLA UK Ltd. This
validates your certificate and confirms that the application of the coating is being conducted by a
ProPERLA approved installer.
A technically advanced, two-coat coloured, waterproof exterior wall coating which insulates mineral building materials by reducing water absorption by 96%. This has a lifetime expectancy of 25 years and comes with a 10 year manufacturer’s guarantee.

Breathable:
Crucially, ProPERLA Facade Coating is a highly breathable wall coating. Water vapour permeability testing was conducted in accordance with BS EN ISO 7783:2011 and it demonstrated that the
coating had little effect on the water vapour diffusion of the substrate. The application of ProPERLA Exterior Facade Coating protects the walls and cavities by keeping them dry whilst allowing air and
moisture to escape. It maintains the important capability of the building envelope to breathe. Unlike some stone and brick sealing products, it does not block the pores of the masonry by coating them
with a thin film

ProPERLA Exterior Facade Coating has undergone independent tests by UKAS certified body Lucideon and has been proven to meet the following standards;

Cotec Coatings use superior Exterior Wall Coatings such as Kingfishers Weatherflex which is a high grade exterior wall coating, formulated from a blend of acrylic polymers and pigments, carefully selected for their durability and depth of colour.
This exterior wall coating provides a guaranteed total protection against all types of weather conditions for up to 15 years ideal for applications to brickwork, stone, masonry and most rendered finishes.
Originally developed as a flexible, waterproof coating, Weatherflex exterior wall coating has earned a national reputation for durability, weather protection and depth of colour.

The coating is impermeable to water, but permeable to
water vapour. In other words, they keep out the rain, but
still allow the building to dry out, or "breathe".

Cleaning and preparation is important with a masonry surface as with any other surface. If anything the advanced composition of these coatings means that thorough preparing is more important than
ever. Preparing the wall includes removal of old flaking coating and dirt residue. The most common cause of flaking paint is moisture beneath the painted surface. It must be removed prior to the
application of the new coating. This can be accomplished by pressure washing, wet blasting or by scraping etc. if the surface is in reasonable condition.

These areas will benefit from the application of a Stabilising Solution which will:
‣ Improves paint adhesion
‣ Binds & primes chalking surfaces
‣ Stabilises flaky residues
Stabilising Solution allows you to effectively stabilise or harden "less than perfect" walls or substrates in preparation for the
application of the Exterior Wall Coating. Cracks in the masonry can be filled with a flexible exterior filler.
Cotec use the Graco Airless Sprayer for the application of exterior wall coatings.
This top of the range equipment allows us to apply coatings to exacting standards ensuring that the finish will stand the
test of time.
The coating can be sprayed or rolled depending on the substrate at an application rate of 1/2kg per sqm for some pebble
dash substrates but the application rate will vary dependant on the porosity and substrate.
